About
Hello, Welcome!
I am Laura Hayter, a marine biologist and climate copywriter dedicated to bridging the gap between science and society.

My passion lies in crafting and sharing stories of conservationists from around the globe, highlighting their work and inspiring others to make a difference.

With a Master's degree in marine biology and three years of experience in the research sector, I've developed a keen interest in interviewing people about their passions and issues that matter the most to them.

On my website, you can explore my PUBLISHED WORK section, which features articles I've written for various websites and organisations. Here, I interview experts in their fields and showcase practical steps you can take to protect our marine environments.

If you're interested in collaborating, please visit the CONTACT section of my website. Whether you need a researcher or a content writer, I'd love to discuss how my skills and experience can benefit your project.

Why Climate Copywriting?
After studying Marine Biology at the University of Liverpool, I graduated to a dead sea of opportunity thnks to Covid. I became a market and social researcher transferring my research skills but changing the focus of my research away from animals and the environment to human and society.

I learnt a lot, mostly how to have meaningful conservations with people about topics that matter most to them.

Throughout my experiences writing as naturally lended itself to which roles I am in, whether its dratfing reports, writing articles and blog posts, or crafting newsletters.

I now work in climate for local government, understanding the breadth of change required to help us address and adapt to the climate crisis. Alongside my role, I interview people working in sustainability across sectors spotlighting their work in addressing on part of the puzzle.
